Today I have made a list of some of my favorite quotes which I have come across. All of
you would have read this before, atleast some, if not all. We all come across these quotes may be
while reading a book, in newspapers, on someone's facebook profile or the easiest of them - just
go to google and put famous quotes you will find them all. But I always ask myself a question what
do we make of these quotes? Are they just a great assemblance of words which comes out of
famous personalities? Are they to be taken as insipiration, something that should be learnt from
and followed? Or something which needs to be memorized and to be said during a conversation
and sound awesome in front of others?

For me personally if I have to choose one, then first quote on the the list is the favorite one. It is the
one of the most simplest and the most appropriate quote which I unfortunately have not been able
to follow and implement in my life even after having read and memorized the quote four years ago.
Meanwhile not all quotes are insipirational, not all of them needs to be followed or taken seriously.
For example- Once Socrates said (I dont know to whom): My advice to you is get married, if you
get a good wife you will be happy, if not you will become a philosopher. In this instance you cannot
marry someone just to see whether you will be happy or to see whether you can become a philosopher.
I remember another one and its by Napolean Bonaparte he quoted: Let China sleep, for its awake
lets nations tremble. Now what can you or me do about China sleeping or being awake? the answer
is nothing. So these sort of quotes are just to read and may be these belong to that category of -
memorize and mention during a conversation and sound awesome. But I am sure that we all are smart enough to choose which ones are to be taken as just another quote and which ones to be followed.
Read the list (random order) and see how many of them have you read before and what their influence on you been?
